Golden Snail Premium – First-Flush Yunnan Black Tea with Rich Golden Buds (特级金螺红茶)

High-Grade Rolled Red Tea from Yunnan, Crafted from Pure Golden Tips
Silky • Deeply Sweet • Luxurious

A luxurious version of Golden Snail—richer in buds, deeper in sweetness.

Golden Snail Premium (特级金螺红茶) is a top-tier Yunnan Dian Hong black tea, made almost entirely from first-flush golden buds, carefully hand-rolled into tight spirals. Compared to standard Golden Snail, this premium version offers a more refined texture, brighter golden hue, and a sweeter, more concentrated flavor with notes of cacao nib, dark honey, and dried apricot.

When steeped, the golden curls slowly open, releasing a thick, silky liquor that’s both bold and elegant—perfect for moments of calm indulgence or ceremonial tea sessions.

Why You’ll Love Golden Snail Premium

  • Made from first-pluck spring buds—almost no leaf, just gold
  • Rolled into fine, dense spirals that unfurl gracefully
  • Deeper, smoother, and more luxurious than standard Golden Snail
  • Naturally sweet, rich, and clean—no bitterness at all
  • A connoisseur’s tea for gifting, collecting, or refined daily drinking

Tasting Notes

• Dark honey, cacao, and baked stone fruit
• Silky body with hints of toasted grain and sugarcane
• Rich amber–gold liquor with floral undertones
• Lingering aftertaste with soft spice and warmth

Malty, honeyed, and smooth

I love this tea. The leaves are beautiful golden spirals, and they open with a wet leaf aroma of delicious s'mores: chocolate sauce, graham cracker, and sweet marshmallow fluff. The liquor aroma has chocolate too, but also some nice yellow flower notes like daffodil and sunflower. The taste is malty and honeyed, with graham cracker, figs, and honey cereal in milk. Wonderful in the early morning.
