Bai Mu Dan Premium – White Peony Tea (白牡丹)
Delicate Harmony | Early Spring Harvest | Floral Sweetness with Depth
A gentle tea with a quiet confidence—soft, natural, and deeply satisfying.
A Classic White Tea with Depth and Grace
Bai Mu Dan (白牡丹), or “White Peony,” is a traditional white tea from Fuding, Fujian Province, made from one young bud and two tender leaves. Our Premium Grade Bai Mu Dan is harvested in early spring, offering a refined balance between the elegant sweetness of Silver Needle and the fuller body of later white teas.
Sun-withered and lightly dried to preserve the integrity of the leaves, this tea presents a floral aroma, soft fruit notes, and a smooth, mellow body. It’s a perfect daily white tea—refreshing, forgiving, and deeply calming.

Cultural Significance
Bai Mu Dan is one of the most beloved traditional white teas in China, often seen as the bridge between the ethereal Silver Needle and more robust teas. Revered for its natural appearance and cooling Qi, it embodies Daoist ideals of simplicity, purity, and soft strength.
Its name “White Peony” reflects both its aroma and visual beauty—an open leaf pattern resembling a blooming flower. Traditionally, Bai Mu Dan was used to cool the body and clear the heart, especially in the warmer months.
